Heute war unser letzter Urlaubstag hier in Amerika :(

Aber wir haben ihn nochmal gut ausgenutzt und uns Hollywood angeschaut! Unser Hotel liegt ja direkt auf dem Sunset Boulevard und damit ist der Hollywood Boulevard nicht weit (nur 2 Strassen weiter)! Nach einem eher enttäuschenden Frühstück im Hotel (es gab nur Kaffee und Donuts, was dann als Übernachtung inklusive Frühstück proklamiert wird!), checken wir aus und lassen unsere Koffer bunkern, um entspannt durch die Stadt laufen zu können.

Wir laufen den Hollywood Boulevard rauf und runter und schauen, welcher Star hier einen Stern bekommen hat. Neben realen Stars aus Film, Fernsehen, Musik, Radio und Theater haben selbst Trickfilmfiguren wie Donald Duck, Winnie Puuh oder die kleine Fee einen eigenen Stern, voll niedlich :) Vorallem vorm Disney Store sind einige dieser Sterne zu finden.

Today was our last vacation day in America :(

But we used it beneficial and explored Hollywood! Our hotel is directly situated on Sunset Boulevard and therefore the Hollywood Boulevard was only 2 blocks away! After a disappointing breakfast in our hotel (only coffee and donuts which have been declared as full breakfast!) we checked out and let our baggage there to walk through the city.

We walked over the Hollywood Boulevard up and down and looked after the stars on the footpath with the names of stars. Beside real stars from movie, TV, music, radio and theater even comics like Donald Duck, Winnie Puuh or the small fairy had an own star, so cute :) Especially in front of the Disney store we could find a lot of these stars.

Das Zentrum Hollywoods ist Grauman's Chinese Theatre, vor dem sich nicht nur jede Menge Touristen sammeln und Hollywood-Touren starten, sondern auch Fuss- und Handabdrücke von Berühmtheiten in Zementplatten zu finden sind! Neben aktuellen Stars wie die Twilight oder Harry Potter Schauspieler, findet man hier auch ältere Generationen wie John Wayne oder Fred Astaire. Wir verbleiben eine ganze Weile auf dem Platz vor dem Theater, um alle Platten anzuschauen und zu lesen, wer sich darauf verewigt hat :)

The center of Hollywood is Graumans Chinese Theater, where not only many tourists are in front of and Hollywood trips are starting, but also foot- and handprints offamous stars on the floor are to find. Besides recent stars you can also find older generations like John Wayne or Fred Astaire. We spent some time on that place to watch and read all the prints. :)

Was mir auffiel ist, dass direkt an diesem Platz aktuelle Stars und Sternchen als Sterne im Boulevard zu finden sind und je weiter man sich von dem Platz entfernt, die Stars umso älter werden. Vermutlich werden die Sterne alle paar Jahre umgesetzt :D

Zwischendurch gab's mal ein Eis und wir sind noch in den einen oder anderen Shop gegangen. Einer hat es uns besonders angetan! Ein grosser Kostümladen! Hier gibt es wirklich alle erdenklichen Kostüme und wirklich gute Masken! Auf dem Hollywood Boulevard laufen an allen Ecken so verkleidete Leute rum, mit denen man dann für ein kleines Entgelt ein Photo schiessen kann.

What I could see is that near that theater all the stars on the floor are from recent stars. De more far away the older the stars. I think they displace regularily the stars all few years :D
In between we ate an icecream and looked in one or another shop. One of them was cool! It was a very big costume shop where you could buy all thinkable costumes and really good masks! On the Hollywood Boulevard are several disguised people with whom you can take pictures for a small amount of money.

Aber was wäre Hollywood ohne den Schriftzug auf den Bergen! Den musste ich natürlich auch unbedingt photografieren! Vom Hollywood & Highland Entertainment Komplex aus kann man sich den Schriftzug gut anschauen, vorallem wenn man auf einer der höheren Etagen ist. Im Hof des Komplex hat ein Radiosender grad ein Unterhaltungsprogramm am laufen und wir erfahren, dass alles auf dem Platz grad gefilmt wird für irgendeinen Film. Genaueres weiss ich da leider nicht drüber.... aber wer weiss.... vielleicht sehen wir uns bald selber als Statisten im Kino.... :D

But what is Hollywood without the big letters on the mountain! I must photograph it! From the Hollywood & Highland Entertainment Complex we could see the letters very good, especially in the higher floors. In the court of it a radio channel made some entertainment program and we heard that the court is filmed  for a movie. I don't know exactly which one ... but who knows ... maybe we will see us soon in a movie as background actors ... :D

Ziemlich früh am nachmittag mussten wir dann auch schon los, um die U-Bahn zum Flughafen zu bekommen. Doch vorher wollten wir noch unsere Koffer am Hotel abholen. Just in dem Moment stand ein Shuttle vorm Hotel, das einen anderen Gast ebenfalls zum Flughafen bringt. Wir fragen und dürfen mitfahren. Was für ein Glück! :)

Relatively early in the afternoon we had to leave to get the subway to the airport. Before we wanted to pick up our baggage in the hotel. In exactly that moment a shuttle was standing in front of our hotel which was used from another guest of the hotel to come to the airport. We asked if we can share it and we could. What a luck! :)

Schade, dass der Urlaub schon vorbei ist. Man hätte an vielen Orten länger bleiben können, um noch das ein oder andere anzuschauen. Aber vielleicht kommt man ja nochmal an den einen oder anderen Ort zurück :) Auf jedenfall war es ein toller Urlaub! Er hat Spass gemacht, wir haben super viel gesehen, jeden Tag neue Eindrücke bekommen und sind trotz des Zeitunterschieds zu Europa bisher vom Jetlag verschont geblieben! :D Aber mal sehen, wie es nach dem Rückflug aussieht!

Pitty that the vacation is over. In so many places we could stay longer and could see the one or other attraction more. But maybe I will come back to one or more of the places :) But in any case it was a fantastic trip! It was fun and we've seen a lot, every day we got new impressions and in spite of the time difference we are spared of a jetlag! :D But we will see, how it is looking like after the flight back to Europe!
