Heute war es endlich soweit. Ich durfte zusammen mit einer Freundin auf die Fashion Week in Amsterdam!

Today was the big day! Together with a friend I could go to the Fashion Week in Amsterdam!

 

Marga Weimans Kollektion ist sehr extravagant. Sie vereint Architektur, Industrie und Kunst und verarbeitet in ihrer Kollektion Materialien wie Holz, Eisen, Harz, Halbedelsteine, Fiberglas sowie selbstentwickelte Textilwaren und Drucke. Ihren Abschluss machte die Designerin an der Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts mit ihrer Kollektion “The Power Of My Dreams" im Jahr 2005. Durch den Gewinn des I-D Awards und den Kauf sowie Ausstellung durch das Groninger Museum erlangte diese Kollektion internationale Anerkennung.

Marga Weimans is a fashion house which explorers and pushes the borders of fashion by incorporating elements from various other creative disciplines, such as architecture, industrial design and fine arts. The designer graduated at the prestigious Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts with her collection “The Power Of My Dreams’ in 2005. This collection received international recognition by winning an I-D award and it’s purchase and exhibition by the Groninger Museum.  The creations are characterized by a highly innovative use of materials: wood, iron, resin, semi-precious stones, fiberglass and self-developed fabrics and prints.

Im grossen und ganzen war das eine eher außergewöhnliche Kollektion, aber die Show war toll und es war auf jedenfall ein tolles Erlebnis, wenn auch leider etwas kurz :D

Generally speaking it was rather a extraordinary collection, but the show was great and it was in any case a fantastic experience, but unfortunately a bit short :D

ICH HAB GEWONNEN!!!

I'VE WON!!!

Die Firma Samsung Niederlande hat Karten für die große Abschluss-Catwalk-Show bei der Fashion Week in Amsterdam verlost. Man musste ein Photo zum Thema Fashion einschicken und dann abwarten.

The company Samsung Netherlands raffled tickets voor the big last catwalk show on the Fashion Week Amsterdam. You had to send a picture for the topic fashion and then just wait.

Und das war mein Photo. Motto: Bäume tragen auch Fashion.

And that was my picture. Slogan: Trees are wearing fashion too.

Kaum 2 Tage später bekam ich schon die Email mit der Gewinnbenachrichtigung! Ich war total aus dem Häuschen, hab ich doch nie damit gerechnet, dass ich gewinne! Ich habe zum ersten Mal in meinem Leben was gewonnen! :)

Barely 2 days later I already got the email with the benefit notification! I was beside myself with joy, because I've never expected to win! I won something for the first time in my life! :)

Ich habe direkt eine Freundin um Begleitung gebeten. Und nun bleibt die große Frage: WAS ZIEHE ICH AN? :D

I asked a friend directly to accompany myself. And now there is only one big question left: WHAT SHALL I WEAR? :D

Und es bleibt natürlich spannend, wie die Show wohl wird, was für Leute man da trifft etc. Ich werde probieren, alles so gut wie möglich mit meiner Kamera zu dokumentieren für euch und dann gibts hier photos!!! :)

And it is exciting, how the show will be, what kind of people are there etc. I will try to document everything with my camera for you and then here will be pictures!!! :)

Ich wünsche allen meinen Freunden und Verwandten noch einen guten Start ins neue Jahr! Auf dass alle eure Wünsche in Erfüllung gehen und ihr es schafft eure Vorsätze in die Tat umzusetzen!

 

I wish all my friends and relatives a good start into 2013! That all your wishes come true and you manage to implement your New Year's pledges into action!

2013 wird mein Jahr - das fühle ich! :) Es wird vermutlich eine berufliche Veränderung geben, da mein Arbeitsvertrag im Sommer ausläuft. Die Ergebnisse der Greencard-Lotterie kommen. Und vielleicht findet sich ja auch ein amerikanischer Arbeitgeber, der an mir interessiert ist :)

 

2013 will be my year - I feel it! :) Maybe there will be a job-related change, because my contract expires next summer. The results from the greencard lottery will come. And maybe I will find an employer who is interested in me :)

 

Es wird auf jedenfall ein spannendes Jahr!

It will be an exciting year in any case!
