The big official end show of Marga Weimans, presented through Samsung Netherlands
Heute war es endlich soweit. Ich durfte zusammen mit einer Freundin auf die Fashion Week in Amsterdam!
Today was the big day! Together with a friend I could go to the Fashion Week in Amsterdam!
Marga Weimans Kollektion ist sehr extravagant. Sie vereint Architektur,
Industrie und Kunst und verarbeitet in ihrer Kollektion Materialien wie
Holz, Eisen, Harz, Halbedelsteine, Fiberglas sowie selbstentwickelte
Textilwaren und Drucke. Ihren Abschluss machte die Designerin an der
Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts mit ihrer Kollektion “The Power Of My
Dreams" im Jahr 2005. Durch den Gewinn des I-D Awards und den Kauf
sowie Ausstellung durch das Groninger Museum erlangte diese Kollektion
internationale Anerkennung.
Marga Weimans is a fashion house which explorers and pushes the borders
of fashion by incorporating elements from various other creative
disciplines, such as architecture, industrial design and fine arts. The
designer graduated at the prestigious Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts
with her collection “The Power Of My Dreams’ in 2005. This collection
received international recognition by winning an I-D award and it’s
purchase and exhibition by the Groninger Museum. The creations are
characterized by a highly innovative use of materials: wood, iron,
resin, semi-precious stones, fiberglass and self-developed fabrics and
prints.
Im grossen und ganzen war das eine eher außergewöhnliche Kollektion, aber die Show war toll und es war auf jedenfall ein tolles Erlebnis, wenn auch leider etwas kurz :D
Generally speaking it was rather a extraordinary collection, but the show was great and it was in any case a fantastic experience, but unfortunately a bit short :D
