I want to share a project of a colleague which I really want to support! If you know me, then you know also that I just support projects where ALL the money will receive the right place and won't go into any organization or administration. I appeal to everyone who is reading this page, please make a little donation to this project, even it is just a small amount, it will help a lot! I spent already some money and further I will investigate in some charity projects to collect some more money (especially selling sewed stuff for a small amount). Everyone's help is appreciated! HOME FOR WIDOWS - INDIA
In Nellore we support widows in need.
These women are often sick and helpless, not able to properly walk and often have issues with their eyes. In India women cook on an open fire, and this leads to blindness in old age.
These old women often do not have enough food to survive, but they also can’t go begging. They live on the street or in quite old huts, sometimes without a roof. These huts are often just made from some wooden sticks covered by plastic sheets.
We have bought a piece of land and will build some simple homes for 100-150 widows. There shall be care, simple possibilities to sleep, supply with water and food in a familiar environment - a home for widows.
- It will cost 550,- € to make a home for one widow.
